The project involves working in collaboration with Lauralynn, Ireland’s only Children’s hospice. We have been working on 3D scanning and printing projects over the last number of years. In 2021 our colleagues in LauraLynn asked if we could help with the difficulties their users have with making and attaching Halloween costumes every year.
As it stands there are no commercial solutions to attaching costumes to the complex wheelchairs that are commonly used by users in Lauralynn.
Building on previous collaborations and as part of LauraLynn's emphasis on capturing memories, we were also able to collaborate with lecturers and students in Media on the Tallaght Campus.
